Another beautiful day speaks of both the monotony and the exquisiteness of the day to day; pushing the ball up the hill like Sisyphus and his rock; finding moments of beauty and celebration in spite of said rock.

Lori Spencer
Spencer is an artist who is interested in production/reproduction and interpretation/reinterpretation as a method of image making. Much of her studio practice lies in the generation of mark and then the reinterpretation, reproduction and re-contextualization of it through various media and formats. Solo exhibitions include In Response: Works on Paper, North River Gallery, Chatham NY; The Meandering, The Word and Image Gallery, Bright Hill Literary Center, Treadwell, NY; and Vignettes and Silhouettes, the Lewis Art Gallery, Millsaps College, Jackson MS. Her work is in a number of public collections such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Cleveland Institute of Art, Walker Art Center, and The Library of Congress.
