Thomas Parker Williams lives and works in Philadelphia, PA, USA. His work includes hand-made artist book editions, unique book works, printmaking, and painting. Some of his artist book editions contain an audio element – music or sound work – composed, performed, and recorded by the artist. Tom's artist books are in numerous private and public collections.
Soundings – The act of seeking the depth of waters by using a leaded line.
Soundings – The act of seeking understanding by allowing the subconscious to emerge.
Soundings – A book of eccentric volvelles.
Each of the three volvelles has three parts that rotate independently without a common center point. As the parts are rotated, combinations of images appear.
