At the Cusp of WWII: Two Young Americans in China, from Chapters 1 and 2

I have been working on this project for a couple of years, but in March I began the first real draft (text, images, design). These are spreads from chapters 1 and 2. The primary text of the book are excerpts from letters written by my parents 1935-37. The secondary text puts those in a narrative and historical context. Most of the images are photographs taken by my parents. The book will be a codex.
