“Multifaceted” is a one page artist book made by using suminagashi techniques. As we move forward seeking our “New Normal”, we are faced with the challenges to identify our roles in society. This work is an attempt to display how multifaceted the role of a human being can be. With some instances of overlapping and some total disconnections of pattern, this piece is a glimpse into the crisis of identity and how our identity can be altered through perception.

Angelique Kopacz is a Philadelphia based printmaker and book artist. Her work explores mental illness and its impact on the human condition. She is interested in examining the relationship between the mind and body — how they work together or conflict with one another in attempt to remain well.
