A pair from a series of food-shaped books, this sausage and egg came about during lockdown when my morning routine became slower and more integral to my day. The preparation of an egg and breakfast meat, with a rotating side dish of potatoes, veggies, or toast, was a way for me to take care of myself that has continued into the present. These books, while documenting a day-to-day experience, are also meant to elicit lightness and humor in the viewer. Because for some reason, eggs and sausages are funny.
